Dedication held for Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center

A grand opening was held for the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center on Sunday.

A large crowd was gathered to celebrate the opening of the new facility, which will begin being utilized by students this month.

Speakers included Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford, Bro. Ronnie Ford, Board of Education Chair Sheila Wicker, Principal Sarah Roy, Senior Adviser to the Governor Rocky Adkins, Work Ready Skills Initiative Grant Administrator Michael Bowman, State Rep. Josh Branscum, State Senator Max Wise, Judge Executive Gary Robertson, Jamestown Mayor Nick Shearer, and Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas.

A tour of the building was held after the ceremony. More photos will be posted to the Laker Country Facebook page soon.
