Russell County ranked 38th-lowest earning county in Kentucky

New rankings from the website Stacker lists Russell County as the 38th-lowest earning county in Kentucky.

Stacker uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Counties are ranked by the Census’ 2019 5-year estimate median household income.

Median household income in Russell County was listed as $38,390. That comes in with 24.1% below state median and 38.9% below national median.

The data shows 19.6 percent of households earning less than $15,000. That ranks as the 288th highest rate among all counties nationwide.
