A Jamestown man was arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office early Friday morning.
Joey L. Popplewell, age 41, was arrested by Deputy Corey Meyer and charged with giving an officer false identifying information, possession of a controlled substance second degree, trafficking in a controlled substance third degree, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription substance not in the original container, and contempt of court.
He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center just after midnight Friday.
