Dunnville man arrested on drugs, wanton endangerment charge

A Dunnville man was arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office Thursday evening for drug possession and wanton endangerment of a police officer.

Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston said deputies Josh Phipps, Corey Meyer, and John Wine attempted to serve a probation violation warrant on David Wayne Passmore, age 42, of Decatur Road.

Passmore reportedly fled on foot when deputies entered the driveway, Polston said, and the deputies called for additional law enforcement to assist in the search for him.

Officers from Russell Springs Police, Kentucky State Police, and Constable Richard Wooldridge arrived on scene and Passmore was located about a mile from his residence.

Passmore faces charges of fleeing and evading police on foot, resisting arrest, criminal mischief first degree, wanton endangerment second degree, and possession of methamphetamine.

The case will be presented to a grand jury where more charges are forthcoming. Deputy Phipps is the investigating officer.
