The Russell County JV Lakers defeated Somerset 7-2 last night.
Camden Carpenter earned the win, pitching two no-hit innings to start the game and striking out three batters.
Trace Stringer entered the game in relief, pitching three innings and giving up two runs on four hits and striking out three.
Logan Lawless and Lincoln Helm paced the offense for the Lakers. Lawless went 2-3 and drove in three runs. Helm went 2-3 and drove in two runs.
Bryce Cowell and Alex Reynolds drove in a run each for the Lakers.
The JV Lakers are now 18-3 on the season.
