The Russell County JV Baseball team defeated Wayne County 11-7 Monday.
Trace Stringer picked up the win on the mound, pitching 2 1/3 innings, striking out two and giving up six runs.
Wyatt Dye came in to relieve Stringer, pitching 1 2/3 innings and striking out two while giving up one run.
Lincoln Helm drove in three runs for the Lakers. Brady Bell and Landon Walters each drove in two runs. Bryce Cowell, Cody Luttrell, Jacob Kemp, and Adam Walters each drove in one run.
The Laker JV team is now 5-2 on the season.
