Surprise Snow Last Night

Good Tuesday morning, everyone and how about that snow last evening? If you checked out the weather blog or accessed the National Weather Service website to check out the forecast yesterday you would see that there was no call for snow. This is another reminder that mother nature ultimately holds all the cards. With temperatures on the cool side yesterday it did not take a whole lot to get a small band of snowfall that dropped a light coating on grass surfaces especially in Jamestown. Let’s check out the forecast for today…

I think we will remain dry today with no surprise snowfall :). Looking ahead it appears that our next chance of precipitation arrives on Thursday night and into Friday and Saturday with some snow showers possible as well. Here’s the latest up to date GFS long range model…

Not ready to make a call for snowfall yet, but there is a chance of seeing some snow as of right now late in the week. We will continue to watch everything and keep you up to date with the very latest. Until then stay safe and maybe we will see some more surprise snow soon.
