Snow Possible Friday Night

Good morning, everyone and happy Thursday. We are starting off the day with clear skies and those temperatures staying around 30 degrees. Still chilly, but much better than it has been the last few mornings. Our weather remains quiet for today but some changes are coming. Let’s first take a look at the today’s forecast…

Now let’s jump into the real reason most of you are here and that is the chances of snow we are watching for tomorrow night. The potential is there to see some flakes flying around, but how much? Well first check out the latest high-resolution NAM…

You can see that area of low pressure spinning around in Missouri and portions of Illinois and Indiana which will be responsible for the showers that come into the area tonight, but you can see there will be a change to some snow beginning Friday and into Friday evening. Things could still change between now and then, but I think we can say there will be some flakes flying around. Here’s is my current call for snowfall for tomorrow into tomorrow night…

Once again things could still change, but this is what I am thinking right now. More snow is possible into the weekend as well. Here’s some of the latest models starting with the GFS…

Not sure on how much we could see and I do not want to put out a first call for snow for the weekend just yet, but this is something I will be keeping an eye on. Make sure and stay tuned for any changes that might occur and if changes do occur we will post updates as necessary.
