The Russell County Lady Lakers basketball team (4-3) fell to Mercer County (4-1) on Thursday by a score of 65-58.
Juliah Bault led the Lady Lakers with 20 points, followed by Star Marcum with 14 and Hannah Yates with 13. Maleah Preston added eight points and Jaterria Coffey finished with three points.
Marcum and Preston each finished with nine rebounds to lead the Lady Lakers.
Bault led the team with four assists and also had a game-high five steals.
The Lady Lakers are back in action tonight as part of a girls/boys doubleheader at Casey County.
