Russell County Public Library Director Lindsey Westerfield provided WJRS News an update about changes beginning today at RCPL.
Among the changes:
- Hours of operation: M-F 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Temporarily suspended: In-person programs and community gatherings of any kind
- Building open in limited capacity to students accessing virtual schoolwork, copy, print and fax services; notary services; limited computer usage for essential needs and grab-and-go checkouts.
Westerfield also encourages library patrons to help keep RCPL safe by utilizing curbside services over entering the building or using E-Books and accessing Wi-Fi in the parking lot, which is available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Westerfield also said patrons always need to wear a mask when entering the building.
