The Russell County Lakers volleyball team has a chance to clinch a district championship tonight when they face off against the Clinton County Bulldogs.
The Lakers and the Bulldogs have faced off once this season, a 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-23, 26-24) for the Bulldogs.
The other matchup between the two squads was cancelled due to COVID-19.
The Lakers are coming off of a 3-0 victory (25-18, 25-18, 27-25) over Metcalfe County last night, while the Bulldogs picked up a 3-0 victory (25-9, 25-17, 25-16) over Cumberland County to advance to the district championship.
Tonight’s matchup between Russell County and Clinton County is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Clinton County High School.
