The Russell County Lady Laker volleyball team won their opening round game of the 4th Region tournament Monday nightt, defeating 15th District champion Allen County-Scottsville three straight sets.
Coach Faith Womack’s team will now advance to the regional semifinals for the first time in six years on Wednesday night when they take on the region’s top ranked team, Greenwood High school of Bowling Green. Game time is 5:30 at Russell County High School.
