KHSAA set to discuss fall sports on Thursday

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association Board of Controllers is set to discuss the next moves for fall sports in Kentucky at a virtual meeting on Thursday.

The meeting will be a follow-up from a meeting last month. In that meeting, the Board approved a plan to leave fall sports in the fall and begin official fall practice on Aug. 24 in Cross Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, and Football, with the first date of competition set for Sept. 11 for Football and Sept. 7 for the remaining fall sports.

2. Review Four-Year Average Enrollment Figures-Football and Necessary Action for 2021 season
3. Set dates for 2020-21 Dance and Competitive Cheer Championships
4. Consider Fall Season Scheduling Calendar
5. Consider any other Covid-19 Pandemic Related Item
6. Consider Review of Contest Limitations

The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. CT and will be available for viewing online through the KHSAA YouTube channel at youtube.com/khsaatv.
