Reopening Plan for KY Courts

Courts across Kentucky are now recognizing a re-opening plan which permits all hearings to resume, in both civil and criminal matters.   However, those hearings will still be held remotely unless the presiding Judge deems an in-person hearing is necessary.

Entrance to court facilities will be limited to persons with in-person hearings and all persons inside a judicial building, including court personnel, must wear facial masks at all times.

The Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court is expected to release very soon requirements which would allow Circuit Clerk’s offices to resume the issuance of driver’s licenses and testing.
