The Russell County Jaycees Fair has been cancelled.
WJRS News was informed of this decision late Thursday evening. The Jaycees had contacted the Lake Cumberland District Health Department in regards to hosting the fair this year. An official from the Health Department said due to the current COVID-19 guidance and social distancing restrictions set forth by the CDC and the Kentucky Department for Public Health, the Department has ordered the cancellation of this year’s fair.
Should the fair get rescheduled later this year, WJRS News will make sure to announce that.
