Persons needing driver’s licenses renewed, or attempting to obtain a driver’s license for the first time, will soon be able to do so again.
The Circuit Clerk’s office, which contracts with the state Transportation Cabinet to issue driver’s licenses, has been closed for two months pursuant to an Order of the Kentucky Supreme Court as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Circuit Clerk Tony Kerr says his office will resume issuing license renewals next week, but the conditions at his office will be greatly changed.
Kerr talked with WJRS News earlier this week about the changes and what folks can expect. We will have more details in an interview with Kerr on WJRS News on Friday.
