Advertising Campaign to Support Farmers’ Markets

Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles has announced a new Kentucky Proud social media advertising campaign that will support farmers’ markets during the coronavirus pandemic.

The campaign sends two message: farmers’ markets are open and are following current guidelines. Kentucky farmers’ markets are allowing only one shopper at a time per family, encouraging customers to look but don’t touch items, and, when available, to go cashless by using cards for payment or even pre-ordering online.

The campaign is funded as part of the Kentucky Proud grant provided to the Department from the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund (KADF).

Kentucky has more than 160 farmers’ markets in 113 counties. To find a farmers’ market near you, go to kyproud.com/farmersmarkets
