Statewide COVID-19 Cases Slightly Down on Thursday

Josh Benton, with the state’s Education and Workforce Development Cabinet, says the state is continuing to increase staffing at its call center for unemployment claims. Benton released some numbers on initial unemployment claims in Kentucky. In March and April of 2019 there were over 9,000 claims both months. This year in March alone there were 168,789 and so far in April there have been 127,473 unemployment claims.
