Small business owners in Kentucky who have been and are being hit by the Coronavirus pandemic may be eligible for emergency funds.
The U. S. Small Business Administration announced Friday that Kentucky had been accepted into the Small Business Disaster Relief Loan program. The program is designed to help small businesses during the ever-changing economic climate due to the spread of the virus and its effect on business.
The relief loan program helps businesses cover costs including payment of fixed debts, payments to employees, and other expenses. Applicants can apply for up to $2 million. The loan funds are available at 3.75%.
Last week, in one day, more than 9,000 Kentucky workers filed application for unemployment insurance benefits. Business owners seeking more information about the relief program and available funds, should go to the website sba.gov or kychamber.com
