In the midst of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, the Russell County Judge Executive’s Office will remain open to the public. Office hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. In an effort to keep everyone healthy, they ask that you call or email the office to schedule an appointment by calling 270-343-2112 or emailing rcfisct@duo-county.com

Any emergency questions after the office is closed may be directed to Emergency Manager H.M. Bottom at 270-585-1416.

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the do business. If you are going to pay taxes to the Sheriff’s Department with a debit or credit card, call 270-343-2191 there is a 3% fee added to your total by your bankcard if by card. By mail to 410 Monument Square Suite 109, Jamestown, KY 42629. Envelope must be postmarked by April 15th, 2020. In person at the Old Court House front right side of lobby doors, pass thru window with pink paper. Other non-emergency issues call 270-343-2191, emergencies by calling 911 or 270-343-6600.  The business hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Russell County PVA Office will be closed to the public as of 5:00 pm Tuesday afternoon. They will be fully staffed to meet the public’s needs during this time. Please feel free to reach the office by phone, email or any type of social media communication you have available. Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and the first Saturday of each month 8:00 to 11:00 am.

Beginning today, the Russell County Clerk’s Office will be closing to the public and will remain closed until further notice. The public is offered a few options for renewal of their registrations: Online renewal is available for most vehicles at drive.ky.gov, registration renewals may be mailed to Russell County Clerk, PO Box 579, Jamestown, KY 42629, renew over the phone by calling 270-343-2125 and a drop box has been placed outside the building.

Mail-in on drop box renewals should include proof of insurance and payment. Online renewal instructions are including at the website listed above. Call 270-343-2125 for additional information.

The Russell County Attorney’s Office is currently open and staffed. At this time, the Office will be open to receive payments for child support, cold checks and restitution; and conduct all business via telephone until further notice.
