Officials Preparing for Coronavirus

State health officials are preparing for the possibility of the coronavirus making its way into the state.

While there have been no cases in the state and a limited number in the country, On Tuesday, officials with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said it’s not a matter of if this illness spreads throughout parts of the U.S., but when, and how many people will be affected.

Clinics, hospitals, and other medical provider’s offices are being told to start talking about what you are going to do if people start showing up there is an outbreak in Kentucky.

You can take precautions at home, making sure you are up to date on vaccines and flu shots, washing your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and using sanitizer with it, not as a handwashing replacement.
