Governor Elect Beshear to Make Changes to Open Record Requests

This week, Gov.-elect Andy Beshear said his administration and all executive branch state agencies will accept requests for public records via email. He said the move will make it easier for Kentuckians and the media to interact with their government. Kentuckians can also make requests in person or via mail or fax if they wish to do so. Earlier this year, the General Assembly passed Senate Bill 230, which paved the way for agencies to voluntarily accept open records requests via email, but not all state agencies have adopted the policy.
