Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary September unemployment rate was 4.4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, an agency within the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The unemployment rate for September was unchanged from the 4.4 percent reported in August.
The preliminary September jobless rate was up 0.1 percentage points from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state in September of 2018.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for September was 3.5 percent, down 0.2 percentage points from August, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
