The Junior League 14u Lake Cumberland Softball team fell to Ohio in the central region tournament championship on Monday in Indiana to finish as regional runner ups. Congratulations to these young ladies and their coaches on their impressive run to the title game.
This evening the Russell County High School Mighty Laker football team will be having a fundraiser from 5 pm until 9 pm at Pepe’s Mexican Grill in Jamestown. A portion of all orders during this time will go to support Laker football. Everyone come out and support the RCHS football team.
Casey Rexroat, a 2006 graduate of Russell County High School and a 2010 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, has been named the new head coach of the Somerset High School Lady Jumpers’ girls basketball program. Rexroat had served as an assistant coach for the Casey County High School girls program for the past six years and before that he helped with the Casey County boys varsity and middle school programs, and had coached the middle school girls for three seasons.
