More on Last Weeks Bank Robbery Suspect Being Caught in Pennsylvania

As reported by WJRS NEWS over the weekend, William L. Grabel, the suspect in the bank robbery early last week at BB&T Bank in Russell Springs,  was apprehended by authorities in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and is in custody in the Westmoreland County Prison in that same city, according to Russell Springs Police Chief Joseph M. Irvin.
With assistance and information from Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross and Kentucky State Police Post 15 Commander Captain Bradly Stotts as well as assistance from the KSP Intelligence Section, Detective Sgt. Chasity Shirley with the Russell Springs Police Department obtained video and statements in Horse Cave, Kentucky, that corroborated information received from Chief Cross and the KSP Intelligence Section. Irvin said assistance from Russell County 911 Dispatch Center Supervisor Gary Wheat, Dispatcher Laura Willis and others, the RSPD began the process to locate Grabel and the investigation ultimately led them to Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Grabel, who police say had gotten away with a undisclosed amount of large bills from BB&T, is being held in Pennsylvania on a second degree robbery charge.
Irvin wished to thank his officers as well as all the agencies and local businesses for their assistance and videos that were instrumental in the arrest of the suspect.
