Michael “Brad” Loy, an EMT with Russell County EMS, experienced a medical emergency while transporting a patient on Saturday, July 27th. The patient was transported without incident. EMT Loy underwent surgery at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and then was flown to UK Hospital. He is currently in stable condition at UK Hospital. Russell County EMS requests continued prayers but at this time no further information will be released out of respect for Brad, his family, and his EMS family.
