The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, April 30th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.. The local drop-off point is the Jamestown Police Department at 112 North Main St. in Jamestown.
The take-back provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
The DEA’s Take Back Day events provides an opportunity for Kentuckians to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.
Kentucky has collected a total of 194,685 pounds of unused or unwanted prescription medications at all Drug Take Back events and locations since October 2011.
