Body found in Casey County identified as missing 28-year-old

Casey County authorities say they have recovered the remains of 28-year-old Jacob Ring, who went missing back in January.

Reports are a farmer discovered the body in a pond off Deany Vanoy Road on Saturday, which is off Highway 70 in Casey County about a mile-and-a-half from where Ring was last seen.

The Casey County Coroner’s Office said the remains were taken to Frankfort for an autopsy.

Ring was from Mason County, and had reportedly been in Casey County visiting someone on January 22 when he went missing.
