The Russell County Board of Education met in special session yesterday afternoon, with architects from Sherman, Carter, and Barnhart on hand, along with Branscum Construction and AGE Engineering in attendance to discuss design plans for the new bus garage and football field house.
Plans are underway to construct a new bus garage near Russell Springs Elementary, and plans are also underway for a new football field house to be constructed on-site at the First National Bank Athletic Complex.
The board also approved a new position for an elementary instructional coach.
Superintendent Michael Ford spoke to WJRS News about the construction as well as the new position.
