The Russell County FFA horsemanship team recently traveled to Murray State University to compete in the Kentucky state FFA horsemanship contest.
The team consists of Chloe Robertson , Callie Reynolds, Piper Garmon, and Baylee Flatt
It was the first time that the chapter has had a team at this event.
FFA members draw a university-owned horse and ride that horse in a class, and are judged on their horsemanship skills.
Piper Garmon made it back to the finals and ended up sixth place overall in her category.
