The Russell County FFA team competed at Field Day at the University of Kentucky recently.
The Dairy evaluation team, consisting of Emery Roy, Abby Fox, Lilly Williams, and Jalyn Meece ended up eighth place overall.
The freshman FFA quiz bowl team of Isabelle Mullins, Gracie Burke, Baylee Flatt, and Easton Burton made it to the third round of the competition.
The horse industry knowledge team of Callie Reynolds, Myah Conner, Aniyah Coffey and Kendall Melton ended up second place overall, with Callie Reynolds being the fourth-high individual of the contest and Myah Conner being the fifth-high individual of the contest.
Chloe Robertson competed in senior job interview, and Piper Garmon competed in junior job interview.
The livestock evaluation team of Caden Hall, Scottie Grimsley, Caleb Wilson and Ryan Stanton competed as a freshman team.
Blane Smith competed in the junior tractor competition and finished eighth overall, and Ethan McClister competed in the senior tractor driving competition and finished ninth overall.
The veterinary science team consisting of Caden Loveless, Dante Eads, and Alexis Fox also competed and Alexis Fox was second high individual overall.
