The Russell County Middle School Laker Baseball team picked up a shutout win over Monroe County last night by a score of 13-0.
Keaton Garner drove in 4 runs for the Lakers, and Parker Brumley finished with a pair of hits.
Garner picked up the win pitching, giving up just 1 hit and striking out 2.
The Lady Laker Softball team fell to Adair County by a score of 3-2.
Lilian Davis led Russell County with 3 hits, and Molly Clark drove in a run for the Lady Lakers.
In the pitcher’s circle, Davis gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and struck out 3.
