Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in Russell Springs.
According to Russell Springs Police, the collision occurred just after 2 o’clock at the intersection of Highway 127 and Highway 619.
Police say a 2018 Nissan Versa driven by 63-year-old Gladys Cape of Columbia was traveling north on Highway 127 when Cape reportedly ran a red light and collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on Highway 619.
The Silverado was driven by 71-year-old Michael Scholl of Franklin, Indiana.
Scholl and a passenger in Cape’s vehicle, 82-year-old Dottie Compton of Jamestown, were transported to the Russell County Hospital emergency room for treatment of injuries.
