Russell County Jail Reports 90-Inmate Daily Average for June

The Russell County Detention Center maintained an average daily inmate population of 90 during the month of June, according to Jailer Bobby Dunbar.

Dunbar presented his monthly report to the Russell County Fiscal Court during Monday morning’s regular meeting.

According to the report, housing state inmates for the Kentucky Department of Corrections generated $32,830.86 in revenue during June. The detention center also received $11,873.05 for housing inmates from Clinton County.

In addition, the jail’s canteen operation generated $3,510.30 in revenue during the month.

As of Monday, the Russell County Detention Center housed a total of 83 inmates. Of those, 50 were being held on Russell County charges, 31 were state inmates, and 2 were inmates from Clinton County.
