Russell County 10U Softball team claims district title

The Russell County 10U Softball team claimed the District 5 Little League Championship last night.

The team capped off an impressive 4-game stretch with a 10-5 win over Marion County in the championship.

Prior to that, Russell County defeated Trace Creek, South Hardin, and Metcalfe County.

Over the 4 games, the team only allowed 8 runs while scoring 43.

The team now advances to state competition in Oldham County.
