With the filing deadline passed, we now know who will be on the ballot for city council races in Jamestown and Russell Springs.
In Jamestown, nine candidates filed to run for six seats. Those candidates are: Richard Bennett, Joey Hoover, Ada Marcum Lawson, Mitchell Marcum, Wendell Matthew McGowan, William Murray, Jared Roy, Scottie Weston, and Tony Wright.
In Russell Springs, there are six candidates running for six seats. Those candidates include: Ricky Barnes, Roger W. Collins, Sherry Bottom-Daniel, Gary Gene Frost, Lance Huckaby, and Timmy Hudson.
There were no late filings for mayoral races in Jamestown and Russell Springs.
In Jamestown, three candidates are running for mayor: Barry Coffey, Dwight Richards, and Brian Young.
In Russell Springs, two candidates have filed to run for Mayor: incumbent Eddie Thomas and Cody L. Wilson.
