Kentucky State Police is investigating an accident in Green County Tuesday morning that claimed the life of a 76-year-old Greensburg woman.
State Police say 76-year-old Janice McKinney was operating a 2009 Kia Rio eastbound on US 68 when she crossed the center line, entering the westbound lane into the path of a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by 30-year-old Cody Richmond, also of Greensburg.
McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Green County Coroner. Richmond was transported to TJ Sampson Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
