On Monday, Russell County Judge-Executive Gary Robertson made the unfortunate announcement that another person in Russell County had passed away due to COVID-19. Robertson said the individual was a self-isolated patient at the local nursing home.
In some positive news, Robertson did announce that once again Russell County had no new cases of the virus. The county still stands at a total of 16 cases with 3 deaths and 9 being released from self-isolation with on new released one Monday. There are now 4 active cases that are all on home self-isolation or nursing home self-isolation.
Neighboring Adair County announced on Monday that there were no new cases of the Coronavirus. Adair stands at 78 total cases with 28 being released and 9 deaths.
There are now 41 active cases with 31 in home or Summit Manor Isolation and 10 in area hospitals.
