Russell County saw a notable increase in voter registration ahead of the primary election.
From March 1 until voter rolls were closed on April 20, Russell County saw a net increase of 198 registered voters.
Headed into the primary election, Russell County has 13,970 registered voters.
Of Russell County’s registered voters, just over 78 percent are registered as Republicans while just over 15 percent are registered as Democrats.
