Russell County saw some much-needed rain this week, but drought conditions persist in the area.
The Russell County Mesonet Station recorded just over an inch-and-a-half of rain this week. However, the U.S. Drought monitor still lists Russell County as being in severe drought.
The eastern portion of Casey County and the northernmost portion of Pulaski County are facing extreme drought conditions. The Casey County mesonet station reported a little over half-an-inch of rainfall this week.
