Columbia receiving $1.2M in federal funds to expand gas infrastructure improvements

The City of Columbia announced yesterday that it will receive $1.2 million in federal funding to expand gas infrastructure.

Columbia Mayor Pam Hoots said in a statement yesterday the project will help support a business expansion at J&L Gate in Columbia. The project is expected to create at least 20 new jobs, according to Hoots.

The gas line improvements will run along North Highway 61 up to the Green County line.
