A Russell Springs man was arrested in Wayne County over the weekend.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies observed a vehicle operated by 25-year-old Cody Valentine of Russell Springs repeatedly swerving and crossing the painted lines on the roadway. When deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle, Valentine reportedly failed to stop, eventually coming to a stop at Walmart in Monticello.
Valentine was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police first degree, wanton endangerment second degree, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, and other traffic violations.
He was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
