The Russell County Industrial Development Authority met in special session yesterday, approving the purchase of a piece of property adjacent to the Lake Cumberland Regional Industrial Complex Site 1.
The property totals just under 68 acres, and is known as the Rexroat property. It adjoins the existing 104 acres that make up the Lake Cumberland Regional Industrial Complex Site 1.
The IDA will use over $1.2 million in state funding from the Kentucky Product Development Initiative to purchase the property. The Kentucky Product Development Initiative provides funding for local communities to boost investment in site and building upgrades to support future, well-paying jobs and economic growth across the commonwealth.
