The Russell County Girls Tennis team picked up a win at Southwestern on Friday, with the boys taking a close loss.
The girls earned a 4-1 victory. Abby Helm, Anna Kimbrell, and Brinda Patel each earned singles victories. Dori Ballou and Laila Hammond earned a victory in doubles competition.
On the boys side, the Lakers fell 3-2. Ethan Coe picked up a singles victory for Russell County, and Clay Antle and Ben Brown picked up a win in doubles.
The tennis team returns to action on Friday at Allen County-Scottsville.
