Representatives with Air Methods, an air medical transport company, were in attendance for last week’s Russell Springs City Council meeting.
Air Methods is planning to open a location in Russell County at the airport.
Russell County EMS Director Charles Shepherd said Air Methods opening a station in Russell County will be a difference-maker for the community.
Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas said the city is glad to see Air Methods come to the community.
Air Methods is planning to open its new location in May or June.
