Russell County Senior Maddox Shearer was named 1st Team All-Region last night by the 4th Region coaches.
In his senior season, Shearer was among the top scorers in the 4th Region, averaging 20.3 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three, and 74 percent from the free throw line.
Shearer also pulled down a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game for the Lakers.
