A bill filed in Frankfort would exempt Kentucky from Daylight Saving Time.
Daylight Saving Time begins in March every year. We began Daylight Saving Time last Sunday and it runs until November 1 this year.
However, House Bill 368 proposed in Frankfort would require the commonwealth of Kentucky to observe Standard Time year-round.
States are allowed to choose to stay on standard time under federal law, but cannot switch to permanent daylight saving time without approval from Congress.
Currently, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe daylight saving time.
So far, House Bill 368 remains stuck in the state government committee.
