The Russell County Board of Education approved installing a new gymnasium floor at Salem Elementary at its special-called meeting this morning.
Russell County Schools Superintendent Michael Ford said the cost of installing the new floor will be paid for by the district’s insurance due to the water damage the floor sustained in January.
The project is expected to take around three weeks to complete.
The proposal was unanimously approved by the school board.
