Crews cover more than 100 miles in search of missing man in Casey County

Crews were out this past weekend covering more than 100 miles of rugged terrain in Casey County searching for 28-year-old Jacob Ring, who has been missing since January.

Crews searched more than 100 miles combined in the areas around Highway 70 and Highway 206 in Casey County searching for Ring.

The search included K9s, drones, and thermal imaging equipment.

Ring was last seen on January 22 not far from the intersection of Highways 70 and 206. Ring is a native of Maysville, a little over 60 miles northeast of Lexington. He was reportedly in Casey County visiting family when he went missing.

Crews say they were unsuccessful in finding Ring or any of his personal belongings during the search. The case remains open and active pending further investigative developments.
