Russell County split a doubleheader at home against Cumberland County last night.
The Lady Lakers fell in the first game 60-54.
Aniyah Coffey led Russell County with 20 points. McKenna Ccamaque scored 16 points, and Natalie Bartrug and Addy Abrell each scored 9.
The Lakers defeated the Panthers in the nightcap by a score of 54-51.
Dylan Stanelle and Maddox Shearer each finished with 17 points on the night, and Bryson Irvin scored 10.
The Lakers and Lady Lakers are in action again tonight for another district doubleheader, this one at Clinton County. Tip-off for the first game is set for 6:00 this evening at Clinton County High School, and we’ll have all the action live here on Laker Country 104.9.
